LABIAPLASTY

Labiaplasty is a procedure aimed at reducing the size and/or reshaping the labia minora also known as the “Inner vaginal lips”, or the labia majora which are the larger part covered by skin and hair just outside of the lips.

Labia Minora Reduction
Labia minora reduction is a procedure performed on women who are not satisfied with the large size of their labia minora, which can be protuberant causing them not only embarrassment during sexual activity, but also discomfort in their daily life especially when wearing tight pants and during sports. In this case labia minora reduction can be performed to reduce the enlarged labia minora and greatly improve their aesthetic appearance providing both physical and psychological benefits
The traditional way to do the procedure consists of trimming the enlarged labia all along their edge. And while it is a simple procedure, it leaves the labia with a scar tissue alongside the edge that is esthetically and functionally unsatisfactory to the patient regardless whether a scalpel or a laser is used .It also causes the loss of the normally pigmented tissue at the edge of the labia which is replaced by the lighter colored tissue usually seen in the inner side of the labia.

The latest operative techniques, although technically more demanding, have the advantage of preserving the normal anatomy of the labia minora edge, contour and color with excellent post operative results. Since no two women are alike, different approaches are available using refined techniques to obtain great results for each individual patient.
